Here is the design of our final snake robot. We made the CAD model in solidworks and then manufactured the parts using Rapid Prototyping(3D Printing). All the design considerations are illustrated in the figure below.
It can be seen that we made all the parts of the snake robot such that all the electronics including Micro-controller, Batteries, Wireless Camera are embedded into the robot.
