Why Snake Robot?

The applications of a snake robot can be understood by looking at the above Figure.

·         Top Left -> Searching for people stuck in a natural calamity such as earthquake, etc. (Wheeled robots fail to navigate in such terrains)

·         Top Right -> Underwater Excavation.

·         Bottom Left -> Spying

·         Bottom Center -> A single bot which can navigate on land, water and climb.

·         Bottom Right -> Climbing inside a pipe.
